Bob Crow, pugnacious leader of British transportation union, dies at 52

Bob Crow, whose willingness to call strikes as leader of Britain’s Rail, Maritime and Transport Union made him a hated figure for commuters and a hero for the union’s members, died March 11 at a hospital in east London after an apparent heart attack. He was 52.
