Hong Kong chief executive stands firm despite growing unpopularity

HONG KONG — On the barricades of Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protests, he is portrayed as a wolf, or even as Dracula. Some call him Comrade Leung, for his supposed loyalty not to the people of Hong Kong but to the Communist Party in Beijing. But Hong Kong’s embattled Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying is determined not to quit.
