WorldViews: Abe offered condolences to U.S. World War II victims in speech to Congress, but it won’t silence his critics

On Wednesday, Shinzo Abe made history by becoming the first Japanese leader to ever address a joint meeting of Congress. And during his speech, the Japanese prime minister looked to history again, offering his "eternal condolences to the souls of all American people that were lost during World War II." The remark received a standing ovation from those in attendance.Read full article >>
