NEW DELHI -- In the past year, a Web-based cab service called Ola has meant a lot to 24-year-old software engineer Isha Trakru. It meant that she did not have to plead with rude auto-rickshaw drivers trying to fleece her. It meant that she did not have to endure long waits on the phone with radio cab companies only to be told by an operator that there are no cabs in the neighborhood. It also meant she paid only about half the cost the traditional cabs.
