WorldViews: Photographer’s Notebook: Documenting the cycle of violence in eastern Congo

In March and April, Nairobi-based photojournalist Pete Muller made trips to the Masisi district in eastern Congo to bring back images of a forgotten war.

Muller and the Post's Kabul bureau chief, Sudarsan Raghavan, reported on the ongoing crisis that has claimed more lives than the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam combined and more than any other conflict since World War II.
